It is with broken hearts that the family of RANDY JAMES RIX announces his unexpected passing on Thurs. Dec 24,2020 at the age of 61 years young. He fought a hard & courageous battle with mouth cancer beating it, only to have his heart take him in the end Randy was born & raised in Current River on March 23, 1959 to his parents Russell & Mary Rix. Randy held many chef positions throughout his life, here in Thunder Bay and also Southern Ontario. He owned and operated RIX CATERING in his younger years which he enjoyed immensely. Randy will be lovingly remembered by his partner and soul mate Shelley Gibson and her family Corey, Mallory, Tom & Baby Romee and Randy's son Benjamin Ellis (Barrie, ON). Randy is also survived by his siblings Sherrill (Dino) Michieli Sharon (Mike) Hall (Airdrie, Alta) Janet Harris Pam Pasowisty (Cranbrook B.C) Wendy (Joe) Michieli. Randy will be forever remembered by his numerous nieces & nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews both here in Thunder Bay and in the Western Provinces. He was so loved by them all.
