A 32-year-old man accused of raping a six-year-old girl was thrashed by neighbours and handed over to the police. The incident took place in Ludhiana, with the accused being charged under Sections 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The girl's parents, who work as labourers, found her bleeding in the bathroom and took her to a doctor who suspected sexual assault. The accused, a married man, has been arrested by the police.
