Sadanand Shukla of Gorakhpur, a Brahmin, is a supporter of the BJP but criticizes the party for not doing enough to alleviate job distress in the Gorakhnath math and Hindutva constituency. The party has focused on welfare measures for the backwards and Dalits but not doing anything to alleviate the job distress that is pinching its most loyal support base.
