SEVIERVILLE â Weeks before an intoxicated customer allegedly killed another customer outside the Soaky Mountain Waterpark, Sevierville police told the state Alcoholic Beverage Commission Soaky Mountain Waterpark was overserving customers. The ABC shared the records Monday evening, after The Mountain Press requested any complaints or citations against the waterpark or against its owner, Wilderness at the Smokies Resort since Soaky Mountain opened in May. The Mountain Press requested those records after a fatal shooting in the waterparkâs parking lot Saturday night, and after an incident the week before in which three intoxicated patrons in the park allegedly started an altercation and were assaulting everyone they came into contact with.
