Regents approve payment method for Ruidoso expansion
Last updated 7/10/2021 at 3:33pm ALBUQUERQUE — Three months ago, Eastern New Mexico University regents approved a purchase to further expand the footprint of its Ruidoso campus to include all of what used to be the Sierra Vista Mall. In a short meeting Friday, regents approved a resolution dictating how the university system would pay for it. The 5-0 vote authorized a resolution letting the branch borrow up to $1.8 million. “We don’t expect to borrow that much,” Vice President of Business Affairs Scott Smart said, “but we wanted some flexibility so we don’t have to go back to the board.”
