Assam Power Generation Company Limited (APGCL) has planned the construction of six renewable power projects in the state to meet the demand, as well as for economic development, and to help mitigate climate change. The APGCL aims to generate over 814 MW of power from these projects by the end of 2027. Additionally, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) is constructing two big solar power plants with a total capacity of 1320 MW.
