Rennie Naidoo is a professor at the School of Business Sciences, Department of Information Systems, University of the Witwatersrand.Naidoo has served many blue-chip clients in the industry on a number of IT projects in the public and private sectors over a 20-year period.He is also an NRF-rated researcher. His research interests are broadly about information systems and organisations, with a particular focus on sustainability, cyber security, business analytics, talent management and end-user issues. Naidoo returns to the IS department at Wits after serving at the University of Pretoria’s Department of Informatics for many years.He has published articles in leading international outlets, such as the Journal of Strategic Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Technology & People, and the Information Society Journal. He has also presented at premier international information systems conferences, such as the International Conference on Information Systems, Americas Conference on Information Systems, Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems, European Conference on Information Systems, International Conference on Information Systems Development, and the International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security.Naidoo lectures advanced topics in information systems research to postgraduates at the university. He has successfully supervised students at the Masters and PhD level. He is passionate about serving the IS profession and supervising students who wish to advance the field’s body of knowledge. He holds a Masters of Commerce in Information Systems (with Distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand and a PhD (Information Technology) from the University of Pretoria. He is a long-term member of the Association for Information Systems and Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
