Late last year, the Arlington County Board adopted sweeping updates to the Community Energy Plan, setting ambitious targets for transforming the county’s energy sector. Some highlights of Arlington’s Community Energy Plan (CEP) include: Set goal of a carbon-neutral Arlington by 2050 Government operations to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2025 Community to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2035 Consider energy equity during implementation County staff are working to finalize the Implementation Plan to reach CEP goals.
