By Jaryn Vecchio Northern Lights Regional Health Centre // Steph Seidel - Harvard Broadcasting The RMWB’s active total of COVID-19 cases is dropping under 10 for the first time in nearly a year. According to the province, there are currently eight cases in Fort McMurray and one in the rural areas. The last time the region was under 10 cases was August 20, 2020. In just two months, Fort McMurray has gone from the being the worst in Alberta, and possibly Canada, in terms of spread of the virus to on-par with most of the province. Currently, the community is averaging just over 10 cases per 100,000 people.
