Public notices The junction of Whippendell Road and Hagden Lane may close from March 29. Photo: Google Street View Traffic using a number of roads in Watford and the surrounding areas is set to be disrupted by temporary closures from the end of this month. A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer outlines the works that may start from March 29 and the orders could last for up to 18 months. However, the restrictions will only be enforced at times advised by traffic signs posted or or near the relevant roads. A section of Whippendell Road, from its junction with Hagden Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25 metres, is due to be shut to allow water connection works to be carried out.
