KAAL-TV Created: May 26, 2021 03:18 PM (ABC 6 News) - The City of Rochester will no longer require masks inside city-operated facilities effective June 1, with some exceptions. Unvaccinated members of the public are strongly encouraged to wear masks, per the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. All teammates and visitors to city-operated facilities are encouraged to continue to practice social distancing. Masks will continue to be required, regardless of an individual’s vaccination status, in the Rochester Public Library’s Youth Services Area and in some Parks & Recreation youth programs. This requirement is in the interest of the health and safety of youth under the age of 12 that are unable to receive vaccinations at this time.
