Fargo, ND, USA / Y94 Jan 29, 2021 1:12 PM BISMARCK (PRAIRIE PUBLIC RADIO) – The North Dakota Senate has defeated a measure that would allow medical marijuana patients to grow their own plants. The bill would limit a personal âgrow centerâ to 8 plants. Sen. Janna Myrdal (R-Edinburg) said the Senate Judiciary Committee gave the measure a unanimous âdo not passâ recommendation, after law enforcement raised concerns. “Some of those plants can be quite large, and produce several pounds,” Myrdal said. “Plus there’s no way to control the THC level. And, if I can speak for myself, there’s no other drug with any effect like this has, that we are allowed to manufacure at home, or crush up and make our own aspirin, or anything like that.”
