Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision near Costa Brava and Valle Del Oro in Newhall, according to Miguel Ornelas, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “It was reported as a two-vehicle car accident,” Ornelas said. “The crash hit a hydrant.” As of 2 p.m. Sunday, northbound traffic was blocked for an unknown duration as firefighters worked to correct the issue.
