(WYFF) - A crossing guard who died after being hit by a car is being honored in Spartanburg. Itâs part of an effort to make the area safer for children. Crossing guard Emma Taylor, 73, was hit about 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 30, 2018, in front of Jesse Boyd Elementary School on Fernwood Glendale Road. Taylor died Nov. 7. âWe cry, I mean we cry because I woke up that morning and she was going out the door to cross these kids to school, to do what she loved to do,â said Robin Robinson, Taylorâs daughter.
