RRT important for workers staying in dorms Bescoat Manufacturing Pte Ltd and its general manager Tan Siew Lee did not comply with guidelines set out by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the ministry said in a press release on July 27. Bescoat and Tan had allegedly failed to send three of its migrant workers for RRT. MOM stipulates that employers are required to schedule RRT to test for Covid-19 infection for their foreign employees every 14 days. This, MOM said, is critical to public health efforts to detect and contain the transmission of the Covid-19. Additionally, it is important for workers who reside in dormitories to attend RRT as there is a greater risk of transmission associated with communal living.
