Saarani: Being MB is a heavy burden to bear

KUALA KANGSAR: Being appointed Mentri Besar is a heavy burden to bear, says Datuk Saarani Mohamad.
The newly minted 14th Perak Mentri Besar noted there were lots of matters before him following the political crisis in the state.
“I will carry out my duties as best as I can and will ensure smooth running of the state’s administration, ” he said after being sworn in at Istana Iskandariah before Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
Saarani said he would be retaining the state Budget prepared under the administration of his predecessor Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
He noted there was no time to make amendments to the Perak Budget ahead of the state assembly sitting on Dec 16.
