Salem despatched an injury-hit Gawad in the CIB Black Ball Squash Open in March when the latter was forced to retire with a foot injury with Salem leading 6-2 in the third game. But with the 28-year-old due to face off against the winner of the first round tie featuring Qatar’s Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi and fellow Egyptian Karim El Hammamy, Salem says he must respect his opening opponent before he can devote any thought to a possible rematch with the ‘Baby-Faced Assassin’.
