KAAL-TV Created: April 01, 2021 03:52 PM (ABC 6 News) - Thursday, the Salvation Army in partnership with Hy-Vee distributed “Easter in a bag” for anyone in need. 400 baskets were made available with a certificate to Hy-Vee for a ham or other meat item, dozen eggs, dinner rolls, yams, a bag of marshmallows, two cans of vegetables, and Jell-O. Those with the Salvation Army say they like to feed the soul and body. “Easter is such an important celebration within our faith,” said Major Lisa Mueller, Corps Officer, “and we don’t want anyone to struggle to put together a celebratory meal for themselves or their family, especially when we can do something like this to make it that much easier.”
