SANTEE — Santee has updated a program is has been offering since November that helps small businesses in the city survive during COVID-19. The Microenterprise Assistance Program continues to provide grants of up to $10,000. Santee staff members recently revised “MAP” so it will not only provide financial assistance for past-due rent, lease, mortgage and utility payments for eligible businesses, but also reimburse businesses for those expenses when they can show documented revenue losses. MAP funds may also be used to reimburse businesses that purchase equipment and supplies related to using COVID-19 safety measures under state and county public health guidelines. Advertisement
