Formed to tackle one of the city's most prominent issues, the Housing Savannah Task Force has launched a survey to gather input on affordability issues and challenges facing Savannah’s housing market. Announced last July, the group is co-chaired by former city manager Israel Small and Brynn Grant, president and CEO of the United Way of the Coastal Empire. The task force is actively working on Savannah’s first Housing Affordability Plan, which will keep housing affordable for residents. The survey is open though May 23 and can be accessed through the task force's page on the city of Savannah's website. It seeks to identify problems facing those struggling to find and maintain affordable housing, such as utility cost, landlord issues and repair costs.
