That after the city has experienced its driest “wet season”. The Santa Cruz Water Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the city enact Stage 1 of the city’s Water Shortage Contingency Plan. Residents are encouraged to be prepared for a possible 10 percent water usage reduction citywide. The vote will take place during the Santa Cruz City council’s regular meeting on April 13th.
