Two special events happened at Saxton Borough Councilâs Dec. 14 meeting. First, council presented borough police officer and Tussey Mountain student resource officer (SRO) Dave Buseck with a commendation for saving a studentâs life on Oct. 8 while on duty at the Tussey Mountain High School cafeteria. Buseckâs commendation reads as follows: âIt is with sincere appreciation and respectful recognition that Saxton Borough issues this commendation to Officer Dave Buseck for his response and prompt action on Oct. 8, 2020, and that prompt action is credited for saving a life. âIn conjunction with his duties as a school resource officer at the Tussey Mountain High School, Officer Buseck was alerted to a choking victim not being able to breathe. Within moments of the alert, Officer Buseck initiated the Heinrich Maneuver and after several attempts, was able to dislodge the obstruction.
