SOCIAL media and our very own County Times Camera Club are usually crammed full of spring flowers and new-born lambs this time of year – but there has also been some snow to snap this weekend. Powys has been enveloped by a cold snap this week and that resulted in brief snowstorms and flurries on Saturday, April 10, with the snow thick enough to settle on higher ground. The wintry snap has settled over Wales and the rest of the UK for about a week so far and is set to remain with us for a few days, until sunnier spring weather returns by the middle of the week.
