The Sault News SAULT STE. MARIE — The Sault Area Public Schools Board of Education voted on Wednesday night to enter into contract negotiations with Amy Scott-Kronemeyer to become the next superintendent. “Amy's experience and her strong commitment to student achievement will serve her well as our new superintendent,” said current superintendent of Sault Schools Dr. Tim Hall. “She is intimately familiar with the district, which will allow for a very smooth transition as she assumes her new duties. I believe our district will thrive under her leadership.” According to Hall, the board voted on this motion 5-0. Each superintendent has an employment contract with his/her district. When a new superintendent is selected, they negotiate the terms of the employment contract with the board. Hall said negotiations generally do not take long. If the process goes well, Scott-Kronemeyer will assume her duties as superintendent on July 1.
