Students cleaning up their school. (Broyden Bennett) FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – School District 60 students participated in several different activities for Earth Day Thursday, cleaning up their playgrounds and learning about ways to look after the environment. At Anne Roberts Young Elementary, Principal Bennett says the kids were eager to give back to the area as they have grown to appreciate getting outdoors this year. “Our classes often take advantage of the walking trails near the school,” says Bennett. “All kids were assigned an area of the school and surrounding area that they could clean at some point during the day. Great job ARYES students and staff.”
