Search Called Off For Missing Fisher; First Nation States Two Dead

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax has called off the search for a missing fisher in waters off the coast of Cape Breton.
The JRCC stated their decision was based on the results of search efforts over the past 25 hours.
Based on the results of the search over the last 25 hours, the search for the missing person has been suspended. Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to the family, friends, and community.
The FV Tyhawk had five crew members on board when a mayday call was issued at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
