Ninety percent of these funds were immediately transferred to the CNMI, Secretary Atalig said, adding that these amount to roughly $37 million. The Department of Finance-Division of Revenue and Taxation is expected to process over 30,000 EIP2 payments based on the 2019 tax returns of CNMI taxpayers. It has 60 days, or until March 21, 2021, to release the EIP2 payments.
