Rain held off to allow Otatara School students to christen a separated shared pathway along Dunns Rd on Tuesday afternoon.
Students dressed in hi-vis were eager to set off along the now curbed section of road opposite the school, and described ways in which the development would increase safety.
“No running into traffic,” said Amelia Kemna, aged 6. “No running into other bikes,” said Avery Botting, also aged 6.
