(WHEC) — With roughly a week left of classes before the winter break, several area school districts will be conducting classes 100% remotely due to COVID concerns. On Friday, the Keshequa Central School District, which is in Livingston County, announced it would make the switch immediately. Superintendent Tom Kopp said the decision was made due to an "escalating" number of staff absences. On Wednesday, the Penfield Central School District announced its decision to go remote, a choice which was made reportedly due to four positive COVID cases among its bus drivers. The district was already facing a driver shortage prior to the pandemic.
