July 10, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan was on Friday briefed by the inspector general of police, Islamabad, on the progress made on the incident of sexual harassment and incarceration of a couple in E-11. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, IGP Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman himself is overseeing the case to ensure strong criminal proceedings after the arrest of the accused. All scientific resources are being used to gather evidence. The top police officer also briefed the premier on the law and order situation in Islamabad. Meanwhile, in another step by Prime Minister Imran Khan to address public grievances, a decision was made on the performance report of government officials. On the instructions of the prime minister, a letter was issued to the Establishment Division to work out modalities. The letter emphasized that resolving the grievances of people should be the first responsibility of any government official and that prompt resolution of grievances and public satisfaction is the best measure of a government official's performance.
