Provided May 26, 2021 Shake Shack is showing support for its LGBTQ+ employees and guests by teaming up again with long-time partner The Trevor Project — the world's largest suicide prevention and intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people. Nearly 2 million LGBTQ+ youth have seriously considered suicide in the U.S. in the past year, a fact the chain hopes to shine a spotlight on with its "Here" campaign featuring a limited-edition Pride Shake, according to a company press release. For the month of June, 5% of the shake's sales will go to The Trevor Project. "Shake Shack seeks to support and create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ employees and communities at a time when hatred against marginalized groups continues to escalate in this country," Idris Stover, Shake Shack's director of diversity, equity and inclusion, said in the release. "We're honored to partner with The Trevor Project once again. And we are continuing to play our role as a business by taking action and continue being a champion during Pride Month and beyond."
