Sharing positive news refreshing I would like to thank the staff at The Monroe Evening News for attempting to stay positive in such a negative world. On the front page of the newspaper on Tuesday your top headline was about Trooper Brown, “The heart and soul of the Monroe post.” On the same front page was, “At the Market, Oaks opens new grocery store.” Then you continued with, “Monroe County updates COVID-19 vaccine ages.” You showcased a great public servant in Trooper Brown on the same day most national media sources were showcasing a police officer on trial for murder.
