SHC restrains Cantonment Board from taking action against shop owners National May 16, 2021 KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has restrained the Cantonment Board Faisal from taking any adverse action against the owners of shops situated in the Millennium Mall in respect of property tax and conversancy charges. The interim order came in recent days on a petition of the Millennium Mall management that challenged the issuance of property tax and conservancy charges by the cantonment board for the year 2020-21 to various owners of shops at the mall. Counsel for the petitioner Salahuddin Ahmed submitted that the federal government or cantonment board could not charge or collect the property tax in respect of the properties situated in Sindh after the 18th amendment.
