Drug Dealer Sentenced Last fall, Michael Schutt was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance to a Minor; Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Marijuana. Two co-defendants were also charged in the case, Meagan Crone and Donald Brower. The crimes occurred last year on October 3rd and 4th. According to court documents, during a search of Schutt’s home, law enforcement seized approximately a pound of marijuana, various drug paraphernalia items and a large amount of cash. Schutt, at a change of plea hearing in February, pleaded “guilty” to all three of the charges as part of a plea agreement that was reached with the state. District Court Judge John Fenn, at a sentencing hearing Tuesday, rejected the plea agreement and amended the sentence due to a misunderstanding at the change of plea hearing regarding the amount of time Schutt had served. Judge Fenn sentenced Schutt to a prison sentence of 3 to 6 years for each charge, suspended, in lieu of an 80-day split sentence and three years of supervised probation. The sentences will run concurrent to one another and Schutt was given credit for time served. Schutt must also pay $700 in various court costs and fees.
