Paradise man arrested after giving a false name and attacking deputies. Posted: Jan 5, 2021 5:02 PM Posted By: Ricardo Tovar BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – Butte County Sheriff's Department stopped a man attempting to drive off with a stolen vehicle after he failed to pass a false name. When the deputies on scene attempted to remove the man from the vehicle he got violent and attempted to punch and kick the deputies. The man was later identified as 29-year-old Marcus Meyers of Paradise. Once detained, the Butte County Dispatch Center learned Meyers had a felony warrant for his arrest. The vehicle was also reported stolen.
