The records lobbies of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department will be back open to walk-in service starting next Tuesday. The department says the lobbies provide services that include gun permits, sex offender registration, fingerprinting, and printed copies of police reports. The hours of operation at the Port Street office in St. Joseph will be Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours for the office on Front Street in Niles will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fingerprinting services are not offered at the Niles office. CPL fingerprinting is not available on Mondays at either office.
