THE number of face masks being discarded in hedges has shocked a dog-walker. Clare Bartholomew, from Park South, regularly walks her dog around a 50-minute route along Kingswood Avenue and Welcombe Avenue where she is increasingly spotting face masks being littered. Not only are they dropped on the street, but she was also upset to discover they are being put in bushes. Clare said: “I’m so fed up of seeing these everywhere. I can't remember the last time I got home and thought ‘oh I've dropped my mask’ there's just no excuse for so many to be discarded. It’s not helping that they’re being stuffed into hedges high up and rammed in there.”
