Former All Blacks coach Sir Steve Hansen hates seeing NZ Rugby and the NZ Rugby Players’ Association throwing mud at each other in public.
If they must squabble, he says, they should do it in the NZ Rugby boardroom and not in front of bemused Kiwi fans.
The relationship between the two parties has deteriorated in recent months because the NZRPA believes NZ Rugby shouldn’t do a deal with US investment giant Silver Lake, which wants to inject $387.5 million into the organisation for a 12.5 percent stake in the game.
