Sloan Digital Sky Survey's robots turn their eyes to the sky

The Sloan Digital Sky Survey — an ongoing effort to map the universe by an international collaboration that includes Penn State scientists — has developed a new system of robots for their telescopes that will replace a time-intensive manual process.
