Sloth Bear Cub: Sloth bear cub found dead in the Nilgiris |

The carcass of a sloth bear cub was found in the Sigur forest range in the Nilgiris. The cub, around one year old, showed deep bite marks indicating a possible attack by another wild animal. Samples were collected for lab tests after a postmortem.
