According to the Cass County Highway Department, plow drivers started at 6:30 a.m. with all 27 working throughout the county most of the day. Likewise, Tony Shanks, Logansport street commissioner, said his crew started putting down salt and sand at 6 a.m. Focusing on hills, intersections, and middle sections of roadways, he said eight of the nine trucks were out early in order to make sure people going to work would have safe paths.
