GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- The Grand Blanc, Davison, Kearsley and Fenton school districts have all announced their intentions to continue face-to-face instruction after Governor Gretchen Whitmer asked schools to close their buildings with a rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
Each district addressed the issue with a letter to parents from its superintendents, who manage their district’s COVID-19 contact tracing information and relay it to the Genesee County Health Department.
“We work very closely with superintendents to evaluate their situation in their school district, because we know that a one-size-fits-all approach is not going to be right for every school district within a large geographical county,” Deputy Health Officer Kaleigh Blaney told MLive-The Flint Journal last week.
