The other day, St. Louis on the Air received an idea from local listener Debbi Heffern, a cancer patient and hospital employee who recently received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. “It might be fun to do a piece on what people will do differently as they reach that acquired immunity,” Heffern wrote. She’s stayed closer to home than most people have during the pandemic. “I haven’t been to Dierbergs or Schnucks since March,” Heffern said. “The rest of you have gotten used to the changes there gradually, but to me it’ll be a whole new world.”
