Sonoma Asks Residents to Cut Water Use by 15%

Sonoma leaders are asking residents to reduce water use by 15 percent. The City Council unanimously declared a stage one water shortage, which seeks voluntary conservation efforts.
Effective immediately, all Sonoma residents, businesses, schools and city facilities -- including parks -- are urged to cut their indoor and outdoor water use by at least 15 percent.

"It is important that we all do our part and reduce our daily water use," says Vice Mayor Madolyn Agrimonti, in a news release the city issued Tuesday afternoon. "We've had two dry years in a row, and we need to protect our water supply."
