A South Canterbury man who admitted attacking a friend and later threatening to kill him, after setting his bike on fire and uploading video footage to social media, has been sentenced to home detention.
Bradley Noel Shefford, 29, appeared for sentencing before Judge Joanna Maze on Friday, having previously pleaded guilty to one charge of threatening to kill and another of wounding with intent to injure.
Defence counsel Grant Fletcher said the aftermath of the event had been a “wake-up call” for Shefford, who was in full-time employment and looking after his children.
