“We currently have 90 staff, 60 at Rolleston and 30 in Timaru. “Timaru is very important to us, but it has a limited market compared to Rolleston,” McAuley said. He said the logistics hub at Rolleston operated efficiently. “Timaru has good shipping with Maersk but not the diversity Lyttelton offers.” McAuley said the growth in demand from exporters had come from right “across the board”. “We do meat, dairy, fishing, Talley’s, Silver Fern Farms, Westland Milk Products, a little bit for Alliance, Oceania Meat Processors pet food in Timaru which is experiencing strong growth. “We’re receiving product from Canterbury, Otago, the West Coast, Southland and Otago,” he said.
