Sovereign gold bond scheme issue for open subscription: Key

NEW DELHI: The fourth tranche of sovereign gold bond of this fiscal opened for subscription on Monday. The issue price for Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 has been fixed at Rs 4,807 per gram of gold, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Friday.
"The nominal value of the bond...works out to Rs 4,807 per gram of gold," the RBI said.
Here are key things to know about the scheme:
* The government, in consultation with the RBI, also provides a discount of Rs 50 per gram to those investors applying online and the payment against the application is made through digital mode.
