Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno abates parking tickets given out without warning, asks that residents are given ‘proper notification and notice to adjust accordingly’ Updated 10:27 AM; Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno is abating parking tickets recently given out on Dunmoreland Street in Springfield after residents told MassLive they had been given no warning. “I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa. What is going on?” said James Evans, adding that he saw six people walking down both sides of the street giving out tickets before he noticed the new signs. “They didn’t give us no warning.” The 72-year-old has been living on Dunmoreland Street for more than 50 years, always parking his car on the street because he lives in a multi-family house and others park in the driveway.
