Those charging over and above these rates will face immediate cancellation of driving licences and the registration of vehicles, besides their immediate confiscation. For the patient transport ambulances, the Department has fixed ₹1,500 for the first 10 km. For every additional kilometre, ₹25 can be charged. For basic life support ambulances with oxygen, the fare is ₹2,000 for the first 10 km and ₹50 for every additional kilometre.
