CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. â State Police in Clifton Park made an arrest connected to a series of larcenies from early last December. Troopers arrested Lawrence R. Sharp, 36, of Troy, on Tuesday. Sharp was charged with felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and three counts of misdemeanor petit larceny. Sharp has been charged in connection with a string of larcenies which occurred in the areas of Latham and Clifton Park between Dec. 6 and Dec. 7. He is accused of traveling to multiple automotive shops and car dealerships to steal scrap metal. - Advertisement - Sharp first came to the attention of police on a traffic stop during which he was found in possession of multiple items of stolen scrap. State Police have since been able to locate the owners of the stolen property.
